Thank-you to the editors at Quilter's Newsletter Magazine for picking this great quilt to feature in their magazine. Created by Joyce Stewart of Deweyville, Utah and Ann Seely of Taylorsville, Utah and machine quilted by Virginia Gore. This quilt, nicknamed "Dottie" is 70" X 70" and is a great example of the "Shades of Baltimore" patterns from Shades Textiles. I often have said to people "don't be so pattern dependent, it is your project, it is OK to make the project to suit you needs". Joyce and Ann mixed and matched parts from several of out patterns to make the large quilt they desired. Also, they did not use the hand dyed fabrics, just the patterns, and their choice of whimsical polka dots... hence the nickname Dottie! Unfortunately, I do not have any contact information for either quilt maker, so if you see this, and you know either of them, please give them an "Way to Go Girl" for me!
